BAYM-LF FR has ~64% higher resistance and ~20% lower current-carrying capacity than BYM-LF FR of the same conductor size

Thermal performance

BYM-LF FR and BAYM-LF FR cables are rated for 70°C continuous operation and 160°C short-circuit temperature, with flame-retardant lead-free PVC insulation.

Fire performance

BYM-LF FR and BAYM-LF FR cables are flame-retardant and self-extinguishing, designed to limit fire spread and reduce flame propagation.

Mechanical performance

BYM-LF FR (copper) has better strength, while BAYM-LF FR (aluminum) is lighter but less strong; both are suitable for normal building wiring.

Environmental performance

BYM-LF FR and BAYM-LF FR cables are lead-free, RoHS compliant, recyclable, and environmentally safer due to reduced hazardous materials and flame-retardant insulation.
